OTTAWA THERAPY DOGS
Ottawa Therapy Dogs screens, evaluates and supports therapy dogs and their handlers. These amazing volunteer teams provide the healing benefits of therapy visits to those in need in local hospitals, schools, libraries, mental health centres and long-term care facilities. Every day these four-legged and two-legged volunteers visit people in need. They can have a profound therapeutic effect on the children, youth and seniors they visit. But they need your help.

Our Best Friends
Monthly donors to our Best Friends Program are committed to making a lasting impact on vulnerable individuals in our city. Their contribution helps to provide the resources to continue visits at over 60 healthcare, educational and social services facilities, and to diversify the reach of our programs in the community.
Whether it be comforting a child facing life-saving treatment, providing rehabilitation support to a patient recovering from a stroke, or helping a student struggling with reading—our Best Friends are making a difference.
